Implicit conclusion

I like milk especially HL milk.This afternoon, when i went Giant to buy milk. I saw Marigold company is using a implicit conclusion to advertise the latest HL Banana milk.





"We're going bananas!" is an implicit conclusion.
The advertisement is trying to tell the people about the new product of HL milk is in banana flavour.

Rhetorical Question

This morning, when i went church and study bible, i found that jesus liked to use Rhetorical question.He liked to use rhetorical question to encourage someone to agree with him.It is interesting to note that Jesus' first recorded words are in the form of two questions.

Luke records Jesus' trip to Jerusalem at age twelve for the Passover. At the conclusion of the feast, Jesus' parents began the trip home and thought that He was among their family and friends. After His parents could not find Jesus in their company of travelers, they returned to Jerusalem and eagerly sought Him. Finding Jesus in the temple sitting in the midst of the teachers both listening to them and asking them questions, Jesus responds to his parent's question saying: "Why is it that you sought Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business" (Lk. 2:49)?

Burden of Proof Fallacy

Other than reading artical and found Petitio principii, i found that my family members like to use Burden of Proof Fallacy when we are chatting.This incident happened when we was having dinner.

Father:"Do u think that you are putting on weight?"

I:"Really?"

Father:"Don't you think so?"

In that moment, I thought of critical thinking and i found that it is very useful to pursue or to argue with someone when one knows critical thinking.

After a few moment, my sis's turn to use Burden of proof Fallacy.

Sis:"Why are you so choosy when come to food?Why dont you eat everything mum cook?"

Brother:"Why should I?Why can't i eat whatever i like?"

Such a weird family i having!We like to use Burden of Proof Fallacy when come to chit-chatting.

Petitio principii

This afternon, when i was reading an article about the Merdeka. I found that Fallacy of Petitio Principii are used in this article.The following article is as below.

deductive argument

This afternoon, my mum try to pursue me to go celebrate Merdeka Eve at Dataran Merdeka with her on tomorrow night, but I have a lot of assignments to do and I told her that I can't make it. My mum was very angry with me and she keep asking me why.She wanted me to give her a good explaination. Then I thought of critical thinking and i made an deductive argument for my mum.
"I got a lot of assignments to do.
If i go celebrate Merdeka Eve tomorrow at Dataran Merdeka, I will not have enough time to finish the assignments and i will rush to finish my assignments.As the result, I will not do well in my assignments and at the end i can't score in my assignments.
Therefore, I can't go to the Merdeka Eve on tomorrow night."
After i gave this argument for my mum, she allowed me not to go .

Fallacies of Ambiguity

This morning,when i was talking to my room mate Pei Jun, i found that she was using fallacies of ambiguity.She study critical thinking too but she just didnt realize that she is using fallacies of ambiguity.

Pei Jun said:"I prefer Ann Nee than Cecilia.She is good in academic and co-curiculum.Many guys like her.I think she is gorgeous.Her wearing is so simple and nice and fashionable.I should copy the way she wear and she is my idol now."

I was confused in this moment because i didnt know which one Pei Jun referred to.Was she talking about Ann Nee or Cecilia?Is Ann Nee good in academic and co-curiculum or Cecilia?Is there many guys like Ann Nee or Cecilia?

After all this question came out of my head, I decided to ask Pei Jun which one she was talking about.Finally,she told me that she was refering to is Ann Nee.
